Why Mayor?

As a leader, you are expected to inspire, motivate and make sure your people have opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally. I want my hometown to transition from its rust belt past into a thriving municipality that cultivates opportunities to improve the standard of living for its residents and a buzzling marketplace for its businesses. I believe it is a Mayor’s responsibility to facilitate this and that is why I am pursing this office.

Francis’ Plans for East Chicago

  • Stimulate small business to promote a strong local economy.

I pledge to work with small businesses to facilitate opportunities to establish favorable market advantages to compete for and attract favorable consumers within the Chicagoland marketplace.

  • Utilize city resources to improve city services.

I pledge to maximize the use of every city resource to provide the best possible municipal services to residents of all ages within our city.

  • Prioritize first responders and civil servants to ensure public safety.

I pledge to provide adequate training opportunities, competitive compensation packages and improved work environments for all civil servants and first responders to improve morale in our city.
